The idea behind this specialty EP was to have music focused around the 4 to the floor acid techno sounds that were influential to many of the current styles in psytrance. Our featured artist for this release created a great combination of old acid psy techno with current electronic music sounds for a unique release that really pops. The SIMS Foundation

The SIMS foundation was founded in 1995 by community members mourning the loss of their beloved musician Sims Ellison. Austin’s close-knit music community came together after their loss to form an organization that offers mental health and substance abuse services to local musicians.

Living as a musician can be a challenge. Musicians and music professionals are at higher risk for mental illness and substance abuse, working under the stress of an unstable income, a skyrocketing cost of living, erratic tour schedules, distance from family and support, and constant proximity to drugs and alcohol. SIMS Foundation continues to provide lifesaving services to those in the Austin music community and their families when they need them most.
